It appears No Man’s Sky is not coming to Xbox One (just yet). I thought it was. This has put a dent in my day.

Ah, man, that sucks. How’s your PC? I don’t think the system requirements are that intense.

Ah, well, that’s an extra wrinkle. Depending on the Macbook, you might still have decent enough hardware to run it in bootcamp?

Eh. Apparently an Xbone version is possible so I guess I’ll just twiddle my thumbs until it happens.

I am pretty excited about this game. I may build a PC just to play it. I remember playing Star Control 2 way back when and I loved the open exploration aspect of it, this kind of reminds me a bit of that except way better. I could see myself getting wrapped up in this game for a loooooong time.

Oh man, I fucking love Star Control 2! Closest I’ve ever come to feeling like a Starfleet Captain in a video game, and that includes all the actual Star Trek video games.

It looks fantastic indeed, but I’m probably gonna wait on reviews, just ‘cause I tend to prefer story-driven stuff - proper RPGs and the like - to games that rely extensively on procedural generation.

You probably already know this, but just in case - it’s available as freeware now. Google “The Ur-Quan Masters” and enjoy!
